| yay finals are finally over and spring break is starting! two quarters
down, one more to go! soo the latest big news was my friend catherine
came to LA for her spring break and we had our reujat reunion with
allen and tricia. we went around "exciting" orange county and of course
uci. first we went to the beach with her friend and buried her in the
sand. took some very interesting pictures of catherine trying to hunt
down a seagull with a stick, and her friend with . then we went to
rainforest cafe in downtown disney to celebrate her belated bday with a
mai tai...it's really tasty and tangy beverage. (it has alcohol of
course!) on the last day, we went to dave and busters with classmates
from school and hung out with the other civils. most ppl probably had a
bit too much to drink especially tricia...haha. well here's a photo of
the reujat gang...until the next reunion!

reujat gang - allen, tricia, me, catherine

| hmm...need new update for my xanga, getting lazy to write my own but
still active in looking at others. went to a standup comedy hosted by
uci yesterday night. it was a new experience and got some laughs out of
it. this guy was comparing how invading canada was like punching a
baby...and the reason why there's no peace in the middle east is
because there's no air conditioning and the heat is making everyone
pissed off at each other like ppl in texas. Then he made the
interesting notion that if you pronounce yee haw and jihad, they have
some apparent sound similarities; a subtle hint refering to texas the
middle east. the last guy who was african american said
that asians always seem to associate black ppl with either o.j. or
kobe. when he went to japan, this japanese guy kept following him and
yelling you're innocent, you're innocent, and he was like, which one?!
har har well that's my two cents of the day. gotta finish hw this
weekend and spend a day or two to relax. gonna register for my last
quarter at uci soon! hopefully they will offer another structures class
that's not a graduate level course.

| the last two days have been quite interesting. on thursday night, i
went to this placed called club pearl with tricia, gina, patrick, and
lai...yes how could he pass a good clubbing opportunity right?! it was
a fundraising event for our engineering sorority (yes it's the real
thing) but the good thing was it's free for us! got to see some our
crazy classmates dance and drink...it was sure different than the
classroom environment im used to seeing. forgot my camera so no
pictures to upload...darn, but it was good times. drinks were too
expensive so only bought one, and the place was okay i guess. today,
allen from our reujat program came down to irvine to visit me and
tricia. haven't seen him since we came back from japan. so we went to
mitsuwa to eat dinner and got some coolish ice cream, which was wat we
ate to cool ourselves down during the hot and humid summer in japan.
afterwards, we just chilled at tricia's apt and watched two movies for
the night. well, until catherine comes, we'll all have a bigger reujat
reunion. sigh...well gotta get started on finishing the last part of
the college apps and study for next week's midterms. | | |
| hmm should be writing my statement of purpose instead of a xanga. it's
harder to "polish" this essay now that everything gets technical and
the school no longer likes to hear about ur sob stories as a child. on
another note, firefox is a darn cool browser. i can now close/open the
tab on the browser, minimize, go back and forth on the webpage with
just the right click of my mouse...it's all in the wrist. now this engineer can surf the web
with improved efficiency!
